Angela Gossow was born to Christian parents in Cologne, Germany, and had three children. When her parents separated, she was only 17 years old. Their company failed, which led to further financial problems. Being anorexic and bulimic further added to her woes. Concerning her decision to step down as the singer of ARCH ENEMY Gossow stated that there's an appropriate time and space for everything. The first time I began was in 1991.
