Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor, musician and playback vocalist on Tamil films and Malayalam film. Her acting debut was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah grew up in the vicinity of Chennai she went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five kind of group which she became a member of in the age of 10, which was the foundation of her music and singing career. The actress was also a stage student at her school and was a part of several stage plays organised in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was president of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her acting career as a young actress in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's new leo Coffee advertisement included Shiva. She also acted in a television show that aired on Podhigai. She performed throughout India. She was in a small role during the climax in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon asked Andrea to play the lead role after she sang in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the housewife whose husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea was approached following Simran Shobana and Tabu. The movie was announced in the early part of 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to play a minor support role. In 2013, she began her career in Malayalam cinema by playing Rajeeev Ravi's love film Annayum Rasoolum.
