Sharp was born in Rochester (New York) and embraced music. While at the Hochstein School of Music, she took classes in cello, clarinet as well as piano. She received a full award to The Boston Conservatory for her love of school theatre. After graduating Cum Laude with a B.F.A. Sharp's initial focus was on the stage. Sharp was a part of her first performance in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other stage shows include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside writer August Wilson himself. Sharp, who has worked on both the screen and the stage, is engaged in several new projects of her own. A full-length recording is being planned. She also performs. Sharp she is frequently in front or behind camera or in the recording studio, enjoys staying fit. Sharp studies Krav Maga along with boxing. Sharp likes to play piano, walk and go on a long trips on the road. Sharp is a resident of Los Angeles, California with her family.
